Your Election Playbook

With the U.S. presidential election just a few days away, we know that investors are nervous and want to know how the various election outcomes may impact their investments. In this week’s portfolio review, we will walk through the playbook that LifePro Asset Management has put together to guide our investment team and how we approach the construction and trading of client portfolios.

The bottom line is that when faced with heightened event risk, the best approach is to focus on investments that are not reliant on a certain outcome to deliver optimal long-term returns. At LifePro Asset Management, we are staying focused on companies that have low regulatory and tax risk and have a long-term runway of growth that is not policy dependent and can grow in a multiple of economic environments.

In this week’s market update, we will walk through our election playbook, the methodology we are using to guide us through the next week, and how we can use adjustable playbooks to control emotions and ultimately use these moments of temporary uncertainty to our client’s long term advantage. Second, we will walk through how certain sectors are trading ahead of the market, why they are trading a certain way, and what these trading symptoms may be trying to communicate to us. Lastly, we will wrap everything up with a quick health check on the credit markets.
